You can run, you can walk, you can roll, you can bring your dog! Come and join us on Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at Assiniboine Park for the Terry Fox Run annual fundraiser for cancer research. This will be our 2nd annual Terry Fox Run, and we appreciate the support of our friends at Taylor McCaffrey LLP, including Monday Run Club leader Corrine Kulyk, who are sponsoring this event again this year.
Our community wants to support each other. Some of us have cancer, some of us have family members who have cancer, and all of us know someone who has cancer or whom we have lost as a result of this disease. Research is helping formerly fatal diagnosis to be something that can be managed and lived with; or even cured. Some cancers have been reduced because of research into preventive actions, like screening tests, and factors that seem to reduce the risk of getting some types of cancer. Research leads to more knowledge and knowledge is power. Our Monday Run/Walk Club goes out Mondays at noon for 30 minutes, and all are welcome. Some run, some walk, it’s all good. It gets us out there, oxygen flowing through our bodies and brains, boosts our endorphins and makes Mondays better. You can go whenever you can make it, and we make it easy by using an email group so you can check to see who is going before you head out. If you have not been able to come out yet, no problem! You are welcome to join our team for the Terry Fox Run, or support the cause with a donation. If you can come out, we would love to see you.

Join us for Mindfulness Mondays via Zoom for 30 minutes of mindfulness meditation, every Monday from 8:30-9:00 am. What a great way to start the week – calm and focused. We keep cameras off, so your focus is solely on breathing and being present in the meditation. Meditation has been proven to help with anxiety, and depression in clinical studies, and can make a big difference in how you feel and how you can regulate emotions. A great life skill to practice.
